Admission Requirements

The admissions team will look for reliable predictors of your success at Lawrence Tech. They will closely read your essay and weigh your GPA for the number and difficulty of your classes, proof of your ability to accomplish the goals you set for yourself.

If you have completed 30 or more credit hours, admission is based upon your college GPA. Both official college and high school transcripts are required. If you have completed fewer than 30 credit hours, admission is based upon your high school transcripts.

Deadlines

利记sbo has a rolling admission policy. That means qualified applicants are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. For you, it means that you need to get your application in as soon as possible and you will get a response in an estimated two weeks.

To keep your options open for financial aid, you and your family will have to complete a FAFSA form early in the year. It is the form that the federal government uses to award grants, scholarships and loans. It is also used by 利记sbo to make decisions on some of its scholarships. Check the FAFSA website for deadlines. Use the code 002279 to have your completed FAFSA form sent to Lawrence Tech.

Transferring Made Easy

Whether you are transferring from a two-year or four-year school, our admissions team can help ensure a smooth transition.

A specific number of earned credits is not required, but competitive transfer students typically have two or more semesters of transferable college coursework. Students with less than two semesters can apply for transfer admission, however in the evaluation process emphasis will be placed on their high school record.

It all starts by making sure your 利记sbo On-line Application or your Common Application includes:

  • Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended and final high school transcripts or a GED. Please have all trascripts sent to admissions@dbctl.com
  • Application fee of $50

利记sbo Welcomes Guest Students

We understand that you will be taking course(s) at 利记sbo as you work toward a degree at another institution.

As a guest student, you must be in good standing at the institution you are attending and meet the prerequisites for the 利记sbo course(s) you intend to take.

To apply:

  • Complete an 利记sbo On-line Application for a transfer student. Be sure to add the name(s) and number(s) of the course(s) you want to take. To view course catalog click here and select appropriate entry term.
  • Submit a Michigan Uniform Undergraduate Guest Application. This is a two-part form. There is a portion for you to fill out and another for your current school to fill out.
  • Send transcripts from your current institution.
  • Email completed documents to specialadmit@dbctl.com.

When You are Pursuing an Interest, Not a Degree

If you are not pursuing a specific degree or taking courses to transfer to another institution, you are a non-degree seeking/special student and should apply as a transfer student.

Open an 利记sbo On-line Application, select transfer. If you want to take undergraduate courses, fill out the undergraduate application. If you want to take graduate courses, fill out the graduate application. Make sure to list the course(s) you would like to take in your application. Attach unofficial transcripts from all colleges and universities you have attended. If you are applying for undergraduate courses, also attach unofficial high school transcripts. When complete submit to the Admissions Office.

In most cases, students who are not in a degree program are not eligible for financial aid. Make sure to speak with a Financial Aid representative if you have concerns.
